1 Arrested, 1 Injured Following Hit-And-Run In South Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police in Minneapolis say a man is in the hospital following a hit-and-run Saturday night on the city's south side.

The Minneapolis Police Department says the hit-and-run happened just after 11 p.m. on the 2900 block of Portland Avenue South.

The victim, a 37-year-old man, was brought to Hennepin County Medical Center with serious injuries.

The suspect, identified as a 20-year-old man, was detained at the scene by witnesses. He was later arrested.

Police say they are investigating the hit-and-run as possibly intentional.

The suspect's name was not released.
