History Theater Presents 'Glensheen'

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Every year, thousands of families head to Duluth to tour the historic Glensheen Mansion. Starting this weekend, you can see "Glensheen," the musical, at the History Theatre in St. Paul.

Many are familiar with the story behind what happened inside the mansion in 1977, when Elisabeth Congdon was suffocated in her bed. Her nurse was beaten to death on the staircase.

Police arrested Congdon's adopted daughter Marjorie Congdon along with her husband, Roger Caldwell. Marjorie Congdon was aquitted. Caldwell ultimately confessed and committed suicide.

Actors Jennifer Maren and Dane Stauffer joined WCCO 4 News at Noon to talk about the production.

You can see "Glensheen" at the History Theatre this Saturday through Oct. 25. If you use the Code "WCCOGLN," you can buy $35 tickets to any Thursday or Friday evening show.
