Historic Duluth Landmark Damaged In Fire
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities are investigating after a historic Duluth landmark was damaged by a fire.
Crews were called to the Oliver G. Traphagen House early Monday to find two stories of the mansion on fire. Firefighters were able to contain it before it spread to the third floor.
Officials with the Duluth Fire Department estimated more than $150,000 in damage was done. The Traphagen House was built in 1892 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1975.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
