Highway 55 In Greenfield Reopened After Gas Leak
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say Highway 55 west of the Twin Cities had to be closed in both directions for several hours Tuesday due to a gas leak.
The Hennepin County Sheriff's Office says the closure was at 69th Avenue in Greenfield. Authorities say construction crews doing work in the area hit a gas line.
Some businesses in the area were told to shelter in place while crews can work to repair the leak.
Highway 55 was reopened to traffic shortly before 5 p.m.
