Highway 12 Reopens With Safety Improvements
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A dangerous Twin Cities highway reopened Friday morning with safety improvements.
The stretch of Highway 12 between Long Lake and Orono closed last week so crews could install a concrete median barrier. It's an attempt to prevent crossover crashes.
Work finished a week ahead of schedule.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation reopened the eastbound lane Friday morning. The westbound lane opened for the afternoon commute.
