High-Speed Chase Ends With Serious Injuries In St. Louis County
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A Pinewood woman is hospitalized after leading authorities on a high-speed chase down Highway 37 in Hibbing Saturday morning.
State Patrol officials say they began following Grace Robia, 25, after receiving reports of a dangerous driver near the Hibbing Airport at around 8:45 a.m. Saturday. When a trooper attempted to stop her, she fled, reaching speeds of up to 122 miles per hour.
Around mile post 13, Robia reportedly crossed the center line and sideswiped a pickup on the opposite shoulder. She was airlifted to St. Luke's in Duluth with serious injuries, while the other driver was unharmed.
Authorities are investigating whether or not Robia was impaired during the incident.
