Heinz Recalls 5,000 Pounds Of Gravy

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Pay close attention to your Thanksgiving table. Heinz is recalling 5,022 pounds of gravy.

The USDA says jars of "bistro au jus gravy" are incorrectly labeled as pork gravy. About 500 cases of the product are affected by the recall. All were distributed to US. retailers.

The product also contains milk and soy, but Heinz did not label them as allergens.

No one has reported getting sick after eating gravy. But if you do have one of these boxes, you shouldn't eat it and should return it to the store where it was purchased for an exchange or full refund.

Included in the recall:

For consumers: Heinz HomeStyle Gravy Pork; individual 12 oz glass jars with "Best By" date 12/28/2017 followed by MU6F04 4Q and a timestamp. Individual package UPC 013000798907.

For retailers: Heinz HomeStyle Gravy Bistro Au Jus; cases of 12 oz. glass jars with Case Unit BEST BY Code Date MU6F04, Best By 12/28/2017 and case UPC 10013000798508
