HCMC Goes In To Lockdown After Gun Threat
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Staff and visitors at Hennepin County Medical Center in downtown Minneapolis had a tense morning after a man's threat caused the building to go into lockdown.
The incident happened at about 11 a.m. when a hospital staffer reported that a man was threatening to use a gun.
The threat triggered a hospital lockdown, and Minneapolis Police officers secured all hospital exits.
Despite a floor-by-floor search, neither a gun nor the man making the threat was found. The lockdown was lifted just before noon.
