Iconic Grain Belt Sign Lit Once More

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Let there be light! The iconic Grain Belt sign on the Mississippi Riverbank is lighting up the night sky again.

The sign was built back in 1941, but it's been dark since the 1990s.

A public ceremony to celebrate started at 5:30 p.m. in Minneapolis.

August Schell Brewing bought the Grain Belt brand back in 2002. The company said they want this to be the "best-lit sign" in Minneapolis.
