MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A day after learning their destination for the NCAA Tournament, the University of Minnesota women's volleyball team had a player recognized by the Big Ten for helping lead the Gophers to a Big Ten championship.
Senior outside hitter Sarah Wilhite was named a Big Ten Co-Player of the Week on Monday after the Gophers beat Indiana and Ohio State to win the league title outright. Wilhite led the No. 4-ranked Gophers with 38 kills on the week and had a .349 hitting percentage.
