MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Kathy from Roseville asked: How long is a person with the flu contagious?

The Minnesota Department of Health follows the guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control when it comes to influenza. According to the CDC, a person with the influenza virus can infect someone one day before symptoms appear and up to five to seven days after. Young children and people with compromised immune systems could be contagious even longer.

Pat from Scandia finds two-prong plugs with varying sizes annoying, so she wanted to know: Why is one prong bigger than the other?

According to Zach Christensen, an electrician with Mister Sparky, it's really for our own good. The National Electronic Code requires it for appliances, lights, electronics or any other things we plug in that have polarization. The "hot" prong must connect with the "hot" slot and the "neutral" prong must connect with the "neutral" slot. Having one prong larger than the other forces us to plug in correctly.

Brian from Coon Rapids saw all of the seats coming out of the Metrodome this week, so he asked: What will happen to the gold seat?

The gold seat was installed among the sea of purple after Kirby Puckett hit it with his home run in Game 6 of the 1991 World Series. According to Jenn Hathaway with the Minnesota Sports Facilities Authority, the gold seat is in storage and the MSFA is considering plans to put it in the new stadium. The gold seat, though, is not the original. The Twins took the original seat awhile back.
