Police: Dog Shot & Killed In Fridley

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Fridley police say they are looking for several suspects and a vehicle connected to a fatal dog shooting Friday afternoon.

The shooting happened at about 1:15 p.m. on the 1000 block of North Circle Northeast.

Police say a verbal exchange that was possibly gang-related happened between a man standing outside of a residence and people inside of an older SUV.

A Hispanic male is said to have exited the SUV -- which had about five passengers -- and fatally shot a 1-year-old pit bull before fleeing the scene.

The suspect vehicle is a Lincoln Navigator that is either gold or tan and has a rusty trailer hitch.

Police are investigating.
