Fremont Ave. Bridge Over Greenway In Uptown To Close Indefinitely
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Starting at 9 o'clock Friday morning, the Fremont Avenue Bridge over the Midtown Greenway in Minneapolis is closing indefinitely to vehicle traffic.
The city says they put a load limit on the bridge after a structural analysis, but noticed many vehicles crossing it have been over that limit.
To prevent further damage to the bridge, no motor vehicles will be allowed to cross the bridge until the city can find a long-term solution.
The bridge will still be open to bikes and pedestrians.
