Forecasters Says Flash Flooding Is Possible With Heavy Rain

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — Forecasters say there's a risk of flash flooding in southern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service says 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected over southeastern Minnesota and southwestern Wisconsin, with up to 6 inches in localized areas. A flash flood watch has been issued for those areas.

Meteorologists say the heavy rain will move from Minnesota into western Wisconsin later Thursday. The rain is expected to come to an end by Friday morning.
