Minnesota Teen Who Collapsed At Football Practice Dies

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A young football player in southern Minnesota has died after he collapsed during practice last month.
According an obituary, 14-year-old Chris Fischer entered the pediatric ICU at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester on Aug. 22. He died Saturday due to "complications from cardiac arrest."
Tuesday is the first day of classes at Austin Public Schools. A representative for the district says counselors will be available at the district for students and staff affected by the tragedy.
