Fmr. Vikings Coach Bud Grant Says He'll Be At Sunday's 'Tundra Bowl'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Frigid temperatures and outdoor Vikings playoff football. If one man symbolizes that more than any other -- clearly it's Bud Grant.
So it should be no surprise the Hall of Fame Coach will be there Sunday when the Vikings host the Seahawks in the NFC Wild Card Playoff Round.
"Oh I'll be at the game," Grant told WCCO's Chad and Sid Hartman Friday. "In fact, [the Vikings] talked to me today about going out and being [involved] in the coin toss. So I will be out there on the field with everybody else."
In true Bud Grant fashion, when asked about the expected wind chills during Sunday's game of 20-below zero, the coach responded, "It's not going to be that cold."
