MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minneapolis Fire Department is on the scene of a technical rescue in downtown Minneapolis Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities received a report just before 2 p.m. of at least two workers who needed help at the Wells Fargo Center, located at 90 7th St. S. in downtown Minneapolis. Fire officials say a piece of scaffolding broke loose on the 53rd floor of the building.

The Minneapolis Fire Department responded and found "two workers on scaffolding that was not horizontal," the department said.

The workers had to be rescued, and authorities said they were being brought into the building through a window on the 50th floor. There are no reports of any injuries. Fire officials said the two workers were safely rescued and did not need medical attention.

Firefighters were starting to clear the scene by just after 2:30 p.m.
