Fire That Damaged Duluth Park Appears Intentional

DULUTH, Minn. (AP) — Duluth fire officials say a fire that caused about $75,000 in damage to a park building and portable toilet appears to have been intentionally set.

The fire was reported early Sunday, just after midnight. A caller reported that a portable toilet in Lincoln Park was on fire.

By the time crews arrived, the fire had spread to the flammable roof of an adjacent stone pavilion building. Firefighters put out the blaze, limiting the damage to one end of the roof.

No injuries were reported.

The fire marshal's office has determined the fire was started intentionally. Authorities ask that anyone with information come forward.
