Fire Damages Home In Roseville, No Injuries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say there were no injuries but the New Year got off to a rough start for one household in the north Twin Cities metro after an overnight fire.

Crews were called at about 2 a.m. Thursday to a report of a fire on the 400 block of Eldridge Avenue in Roseville. When firefighters arrived, a fire had started in the basement of the home. Authorities say a woman and her dog were home at the time of the fire, and both made it out safely.

Fire officials said the blaze spread to the first floor of the home before firefighters were able to put it out. The extent of the damage was to the inside of the home.

Authorities say the cause of the fire is under investigation.
