Fire Damages Eagan Home, Garage

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A fire caused damage to an Eagan home and garage early Tuesday morning.
According to Eagan fire officials, crews received a call shortly before midnight of a structure fire in the 900 block of Savannah Road.
Upon arrival, crews learned the fire had started in a trash can outside of the garage. It then burned up the side of the garage, onto the roof and into the attic of the home. The entire roof of the garage was damaged.
Officials said three people and a pet lived in the home. All got out safely.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
