Arrest made following deadly Highway 55 crash in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH, Minn. — A driver is dead and another is in custody following a three-vehicle crash Tuesday afternoon in Plymouth.

The Minnesota State Patrol says at about 2:22 p.m., a pickup truck and sedan traveling eastbound on Highway 55 both struck an SUV heading northbound on Industrial Park Boulevard.

The driver of the SUV, 68-year-old Catherine Regina Caron of Plymouth, was killed in the crash. The driver of the sedan, a 49-year-old man from Hopkins, was injured but will survive. The pickup truck driver, a 73-year-old Corcoran man, wasn't hurt.

The state patrol says a driver was arrested on suspicion of criminal vehicular operation. The crash is still under investigation.
