FBI: 2 Men Rob Coon Rapids Bank, Put Bankers In Vault

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Police are searching for two men who allegedly robbed a Coon Rapids bank Friday evening.

According to the FBI, around 6:45 p.m. two men entered the Guaranty Bank, located in the 3300 block of 124th Avenue.

The two were wearing hoods and masks. They approached the bank counter, displayed weapons and demanded money.

The FBI said they made two bank employees go into the bank vault and left them there.

The pair left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.

Police reports described the first suspect as a white man approximately five feet six inches tall. The second was described as a white man with green eyes standing roughly six feet.

No vehicles were seen leaving the bank.

A coordinated investigation between the FBI, Anoka County Sheriffs and the Coon Rapids Police Department is currently underway.
