Minnesota Man Killed In South Dakota Crash ID'd

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Authorities have identified a Minnesota man who died in a two-vehicle crash in eastern South Dakota.

The Highway Patrol says 39-year-old Lee Waltner, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, was driving a car that was struck head-on by another car that crossed the centerline on state Highway 42.

The crash happened Friday night about 7 miles west of Sioux Falls. Waltner was declared dead at the scene. His 8- and 9-year-old daughters who were traveling with him and the driver of the other car were taken to a Sioux Falls hospital with injuries that the patrol said were serious but not life-threatening.
