Man Faces Charges For Trying To Take Fargo Police Officer's Gun

FARGO, N.D. (AP) — Formal charges are pending against a West Fargo man who allegedly assaulted a Fargo police officer and tried to take his gun.

Authorities say officers responded to a disturbance at a hotel shortly after midnight Saturday and encountered the 24-year-old man, who had allegedly broken a bathroom mirror and was covered in blood.

The man was subdued with a stun gun and pepper spray after he allegedly began scuffling with the officers and tried to disarm one of them.

No officers were injured. The suspect was arrested on several charges including assault on a law officer and disarming an officer.
