MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The family of a 34-year-old Hastings man who was shot to death earlier this month is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and a conviction of the killer.
On the night of June 22, Jason Reuter suffered gunshot wounds to his head and neck, officials said. Police in Hastings found him dead in a yard on the 1200 block of Eddy Street.
The Hennepin County Medical Examiner ruled his death a homicide.
On Monday, Crime Stoppers put out a $1,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.
Reuter's father, Michael Reuter, said the family has agreed to put up an additional $5,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and a conviction.
No suspects are in custody, but police say there is no danger to the public.
Jason Reuter is survived by two sons, his father said.
