Ex-Coach Accused Of Relationship With Student Arrested Again

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A former tennis coach accused of having a sexual relationship with a teenage student has been arrested again.

Daniel Hubbard-Wilson was charged with violating a restraining order and for harassment in relation to the restraining order.

Last week the 27-year-old was found in a car with the now 17-year-old student with whom he's accused of having a sexual relationship. That's a violation of a no-contact order by the court.

He bonded out of the Hennepin County jail over the weekend and was rearrested Monday in Ramsey County. The county attorney's office asked for him to be taken into custody immediately and for his bond to be raised.

The former tennis coach was suspended from Visitation in September after allegations arose that he was having a sexual relationship with a player. Wilson resigned the next day. In October, Hubbard-Wilson was arrested for violating a no-contact order.

The criminal complaint says the "criminal sexual conduct" began when the girl was 15, in 2013. The relationship escalated after her 16th birthday and continued until her dad confronted her about it this fall.

"We remain extremely concerned about Wilson's continued violation of court orders, and the family is greatly concerned about their daughter's safety," said Chris Madel, the attorney representing the student's family. "We're hopeful that the Hennepin County Attorney's Office will charge him with a felony for Wilson's latest violation."

Right now Wilson is charged with a misdemeanor. The judge in Ramsey County ordered Wilson to undergo a psychosexual evaluation and said if he violates the no-contact order again, the bond will go up to $1 million.

The victim told authorities that Hubbard-Wilson had been involved with other girls, who've been asked to come forward.
