Baby boy evaluated for hypothermia after found alone in stolen car in Minneapolis

MINNEAPOLIS – Police say a baby boy was evaluated for hypothermia after he was found alone in a stolen car Tuesday morning in Minneapolis.

Police say officers were called to the 2400 block of Oakland Avenue at about 8:08 a.m. after the infant was spotted inside the vehicle "not dressed for the weather conditions."

The boy was taken to Hennepin Healthcare. Police say he is expected to survive, and they have identified him and his mother.

The vehicle was reported stolen from Douglas County. Police say they are getting assistance from the Hennepin and Douglas county sheriff's offices in this investigation.
