Man shot, killed in Dayton’s Bluff Neighborhood of St. Paul

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- A man is dead after a shooting in St. Paul early Saturday morning.

St. Paul police say they arrived at the 1000 block of Pacific Street around 2:30 a.m. to find a "chaotic scene."

A man, who had been shot was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. He was identified a few days later as 35-year-old Michael Martin, of St. Paul

It's the second Saturday in a row that St. Paul officers have responded to an early morning fatal shooting. Last week, Michael Brasel was shot and killed outside his home.

"It's very difficult for our officers, for our entire community, but I do know that even when we have one homicide after another in this case, they're working even harder to figure out who's responsible for these deaths," said St. Paul Police Spokesperson Alyssa Arcand.

It's the 14th homicide in St. Paul so far this year.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call 651-266-5650.
