Surf's Up On Maple Grove Lake Despite Frigid Water

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- We can't wait to get into the water here in Minnesota, especially when we get spring-like temperatures in the 50s and even 60s.
Well, some of us can wait until it's a little warmer than 41 degrees. Brian Thron and his friends sent WCCO video of themselves wake surfing in Eagle Lake near Maple Grove this weekend.
One of them actually goes out on the water with bare feet.
While we're not sure what it's like to wipeout in water that's about the same temperature as the air, one thing is for sure: They had the lake to themselves.
