Historic Duluth Church Fire Ruled An Accident
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A fire that caused major damage to an historic church in Duluth last month has been ruled an accident.
The Duluth Fire Department says a fire at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church was caused by electrical wiring. It happened on Feb. 18 and caused $900,000 in damages.
The congregation hasn't been able to meet at the church, because fire damage has made the building unsafe.
The church was founded in 1870 by Swedish immigrants. It's been at its current location since 1906.
