Police: 1 Dead In Downtown Minneapolis Crash

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A woman was killed after witnesses say her vehicle was struck by a speeding SUV in downtown Minneapolis Thursday evening.
Police say the crash happened just before 6 p.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue South and 15th Street East.
Witnesses tell police an SUV hit a Honda Fit at a high rate of speed, killing a woman who was the car's sole passenger.
The two men in the SUV fled the scene on foot, but were tracked down and arrested a short time later.
The SUV's driver was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center for non-life threatening injuries.
His passenger was treated, questioned and released at the scene.
The names of the three people involved have not been released. Police are investigating.
