DNR: 2 Bald Eagles Found Dead In Northern Minnesota Last Month

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Two bald eagles were found dead in northern Minnesota last month.

The Minnesota Department of Natural Resources said the eagles were found in rural Blackduck on April 23. The birds were handed over to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which is examining them in its wildlife forensics lab in Oregon -- the only one of its kind on earth.

USFWS officials say the investigation is ongoing, and they're offering a $2,500 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction in this case.
