Dayton Orders Flags Flown Half Staff In Honor Of Scalia
ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Gov. Mark Dayton has ordered that U.S. and Minnesota state flags be flown at half-staff in honor and remembrance of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia.
The Democratic governor's order applies to all state government and federal buildings across Minnesota.
Dayton says flags should remain at half-staff until sunset on the day of Scalia's internment.
President Barack Obama issued a similar order that applies to flags flown at the White House, Supreme Court and other public buildings and grounds in the nation's capital and elsewhere across the country.
