MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) announced Sunday that the number of positive coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Minnesota has risen to 15,668, up 699 from Saturday. Twenty-two more people also died, bringing the death total to 722. This comes as Minnesota's stay-at-home order is set to expire on Monday.

Here are the latest updates in the COVID-19 pandemic:

  • 3:22 p.m.: Burnsville Center, Ridgedale Mall, Shops at Arbor Lakes and Twin Cities Premium Outlets will all open Monday, May 18 with certain restrictions in place.
  • 2:34 p.m.: Minnesota House GOP lawmakers are questioning Attorney General Keith Ellison in a letter released Sunday after reports that the AG office has threatened to fine business owners who have announced plans to reopen prior to June 1.
  • 2:00 p.m.: Wisconsin health officials say there are now 12,543 cases of COVID-19 but no new deaths.
  • 12:50 p.m.: Maplewood Mall and Northtown Mall to reopen May 21.
  • 11:00 a.m.: MDH officials report an additional 699 cases of COVID-19; 22 more people have died due to the virus.
  • 9:00 a.m.: Spain to consider requiring masks in public.
  • Last Night: Minnesota House approves COVID-19 public safety solutions, requirement to test and store rape kits.
