Cordarrelle Patterson Makes Pro Bowl As Kick Returner
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – The Minnesota Vikings announced Friday that rookie Cordarrelle Patterson has been selected to the Pro Bowl.
Patterson was selected to the roster as a return specialist, replacing Antonio Brown of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Brown was also voted to the Pro Bowl as a wide receiver. In his rookie season, Patterson set Vikings team records for kickoff return yards (1,393), return average (32.4 yards) and tied the team record with two kickoff return touchdowns.
The Pro Bowl is Sunday, Jan. 26, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Patterson was also selected first-team All Pro at kick returner on Friday.
Patterson also had four receiving touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns. He's the seventh rookie for the Vikings to be selected to the Pro Bowl. The others were Chuck Foreman, Randy Moss, Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin, Blair Walsh and Matt Kalil.
