Cops Investigating Little Free Library Arson
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Minneapolis police are asking the public's help in finding the person who set fire to a well-used Little Free Library.
The Minneapolis Police Department tweeted Wednesday that the arson happened on July 6 at a home on Minnehaha Avenue on the city's south side.
If you have information on the burning – of a small, wooden box that holds books which passers-by can freely take or replace – call the arson hotline at 1-800-723-2020.
There are rewards of up to $5,000 for information.
Little Free Libraries are part of a global movement to encourage people to read. There are hundreds of such libraries across the Twin Cities.
