Conrade Pleads Guilty To Helping Boyfriend After Killings
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A 25-year-old Rosemount woman pleaded guilty Friday to helping her boyfriend after he murdered a man and then allegedly killed a woman just hours apart in 2013.
Ashley Marie Conrade pleaded guilty to two counts of aiding an offender after the fact in connection with the murders of 23-year-old Palagor Jobi and 20-year-old Anarae Schunk. Murder charges were dropped against her in a plea deal.
Conrade's boyfriend, Shavelle Chavez-Nelson, is serving a life sentence for the murder of Jobi, which happened in the early morning of Sept. 22, 2013 at Nina's Bar & Grill in Burnsville.
Chavez-Nelson murdered Jobi during an altercation at the bar, then allegedly stabbed Schunk to death at Conrade's Rosemount townhome soon after.
Schunk, who was a former girlfriend of Chavez-Nelson, was apparently with her alleged killer that night in an attempt to collect a debt.
Her body was found eight days later in a ditch off of a rural Rice County road.
Conrade has agreed to fully cooperate in the investigation of Schunk's death, and will testify against Chavez-Nelson at his trial, which is set for May 11.
She will face 15 years in prison as part of her plea agreement.
