City Of Bloomington To Vote On Blocking Medical Marijuana
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Bloomington will consider becoming the latest city to block sales and production of medical marijuana.
The city council is scheduled to vote on a one-year moratorium Monday. It would give Bloomington officials time to find the best way to regulate these types of facilities.
They also raised concerns over security of sales, since patients have to bring cash to purchase the drug.
Duluth and Richfield have similar moratoriums.
Medical marijuana was legalized in Minnesota last year. Patients can begin buying it in July.
