2 Years After His Death, Family Memorializes Wright Co. Man

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Friends and family of a Wright County man gathered for closure Saturday, more than two years after his death.

Twenty-five-year-old Christopher Rossing disappeared from the Howard Lake area in August of 2014.

After months of searching the area, investigators found burned bone fragments near the home of Robert Nuttall and his girlfriend, Gwen Butcher.

The couple later revealed that Nuttall had gotten into a fight with Rossing after a night of drinking.  Nuttall said he accidentally killed Rossing during the fight.

Both Nuttall and Butcher are serving prison time for his death.

Saturday morning, loved ones gathered at Westwood Community Church in Excelsior to celebrate Christopher's life.

Visitation started at 9 and was followed by a memorial service and luncheon.
