State Patrol: Driver Hits Bear In St. Louis Co.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A St. Louis County woman suffered non-life threatening injuries Thursday afternoon after her car collided with a bear.

The Minnesota State Patrol says the accident happened at about noon on Highway 169.

Fifty-seven-year-old Antonette Flynn, of Chisholm, was travelling westbound when two bears entered the road.

Flynn tried to swerve around them, but ended up hitting one. It is not known if the bear survived.

The state patrol is investigating.
