Police: Innocent Bystander Shot In Downtown Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Police say an innocent bystander was hurt in a shooting in downtown Minneapolis Tuesday night.

Investigators say two men got into a fight at about 7 p.m. on Hennepin Avenue near 6th Street.

One opened fire, missing his target, but hitting an innocent man in the hip.

The victim was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center where he underwent surgery.

Police have not caught the shooter as of late Tuesday night.
