Bus Drives Into Columbia Heights Home

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- A bus drove into a home in Columbia Heights Friday afternoon, according to the Anoka County Sheriff's office.

Police say the bus collided with a car at about 4:45 p.m. at a home on the 3900 block of Arthur Street Northeast. The bus then swerved into the house as a result of the crash with the car.

The chief Columbia Heights Fire Department says there were two passengers on the bus and the homeowner was in the building at the time of the accident. One of the passengers and the homeowner were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The Anoka County Sheriff's office says the bus did hit a gas line inside the residence.

It is not clear yet what caused the accident, which is still under investigation.
