Burnsville Home Destroyed By Fire, No Injuries

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities said nobody was hurt but a Burnsville home was destroyed by a fire early Sunday morning.

Crews were called to the 13000 block of Country Place in Burnsville at about 4:40 a.m. on a report of a fire. Authorities said nobody was in the home at the time of the fire and it is believed to be a vacant house. When crews arrived, the home was engulfed in flames and weather conditions made it difficult to fight.

Fire crews were unable to use ladder trucks to battle the blaze because of frequent lightning and a gas leak in the home had to be fixed, delaying the efforts for firefighters. Nobody was hurt in the fire as crews from Savage and Apple Valley assisted in fighting the fire.

Authorities said the cause of the fire is under investigation.
