Burke Continues To Outspend Walker On TV

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — The latest estimates of television advertising spending in Wisconsin's hotly contested governor's race shows Democrat Mary Burke and her backers continue to outpace Gov. Scott Walker and his supporters.

The Center for Public Integrity's estimates are current through Monday and do not take into account time reserved for the final two weeks of the campaign.

But through Monday, the group estimates that Burke's side has spent $8.2 million while Walker's side has spent $7.4 million.

A Marquette University Law School poll released last week showed Walker and Burke tied at 47 percent. Former President Bill Clinton is scheduled to campaign for Burke in Milwaukee on Friday, with President Barack Obama coming on Tuesday.

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is to be in Wisconsin for Walker next week.
