Brooklyn Center Apartment Evacuated After Fire Rekindles

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – Authorities say residents of an apartment complex in Brooklyn Center had to be evacuated early Monday morning after a fire that started there Sunday night rekindled.

Crews were called to the 600 block of 69th Avenue North at about 4 a.m. Monday. The original fire started at the complex at about 6 p.m. Sunday. Fire officials said residents were not allowed back into the apartment complex after the first fire Sunday night.

Crews are on the scene attempting to put the fire out after it rekindled. There have been no reports of injuries, and fire officials said they are still investigating what caused the original fire Sunday night.
