Bridgewater Out For Vikings-Packers Game; Ponder To Start
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Looks like Teddy Time will have to wait. Minnesota Vikings QB Teddy Bridgewater is out for Thursday night's game against the Packers in Green Bay, Wis. -- and former starting quarterback Christian Ponder is in.
Bridgewater injured his ankle last Sunday in a game against the Atlanta Falcons. He left the game after passing for 317 yards on 19-of-30 passes and ran for 27 yards and a touchdown on five carries.
On Wednesday, Bridgewater sounded confident he would play against the Packers but the decision was made Thursday to have him sit the game out. Bridgewater did not practice all week.
The Vikings signed quarterback Chandler Harnish from the practice squad Thursday afternoon.
