Brave New Workshop Gets Kinky In '50 Shades Of Gravy'
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) -- Did you know Minneapolis is home to the oldest sketch comedy troupe in the country?
It's called the Brave New Workshop, founded by former circus performer Dudley Riggs in 1958.
Some notable alumni include Sen. Al Franken, "The Daily Show" co-creator Lizz Winstead and Penn Jillette of the comedy magic duo "Penn and Teller."
After over 270 shows, they're finally tackling an important subject -- "Fifty Shades of Grey."
Their new show -- "50 Shades of Gravy" -- runs Thursday through Saturday at the Brave New Workshop Theater on Hennepin Avenue in downtown Minneapolis.
The show is open until May 2, and ticket prices range from $18 to $36.
They also have improv classes at the Brave New Workshop's Student Union.
