Vikings Boone On Track To Play Against Giants After Hip Injury

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Vikings left guard Alex Boone is on track to play on Monday night against the New York Giants despite a hip injury that forced him from the previous game.

Boone was hurt in the second quarter last week at Carolina. Jeremiah Sirles, whose natural position is tackle, filled in.

Boone didn't practice Thursday but returned on a limited basis Friday and fully participated Saturday. Coach Mike Zimmer is "assuming" Boone will play, and he is not listed on the injury report.

Defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd and backup tight end David Morgan were ruled out because of knee injuries. Nobody was listed as doubtful or questionable.
