Black Lives Matter: Park Board Has Work To Do In North Mpls.

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – As Minneapolis parks were recognized this week for being the best in the country, some community members say there's much room for improvement.

Members of Black Lives Matters held protest signs in silence Thursday during a press conference, criticizing the park board for not doing enough to improve the parks in north Minneapolis.

In its ranking of national parks, The Trust for Public Land said Minneapolis ranked high for proximity to neighborhoods, park size and facilities.

Minneapolis narrowly outscored St. Paul's parks, which earned second place.
