Bicyclist Injured After Colliding With Car In Mpls.
MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A bicyclist is in the hospital with critical injuries after colliding with a car at an intersection in downtown Minneapolis Saturday afternoon.
According to the Minneapolis police department, just before 3 p.m. officers responded to a call of a bicycle crash.
Upon arrival, police found an adult male in the roadway.
Through witnesses and investigation, police determined the car had been traveling on North 1st Street with a green light. The bicyclist was traveling north on Hennepin when he went through a red light and crashed into the car.
The impact dented the door and cracked the windshield.
The cyclist is at HCMC in critical condition.
No one else was hurt.
